It is a full 1 inch receiving pocket for vinyl siding or other wall cladding.
Which can be made deeper if needed.
The face of the vent was pushed out 1/2 of an inch for a more promenant appearance.
So, the deeper vent will attach to the wall without aditional cutting.
Looking closer, The face of the round vent trim is smooth.
As well as the J channel face.
These are the two trims that are visible after install.
The back flange will mount to the wall and be covered up by the siding.
1 inch high louvered slats are spaced 1 1/2 inches for more breathability.
This size vent will average around 36 to 40 inches of net free air.
