The brick opening this octagonal vent now sits in,

is 25 1/2" x 25 1/2".

It was ordered as 25 1/2 x 25 1/2 and opening size

for this reason.

We reduce the vent 1/4 inch per side

so the vent has no obsticals entering.

To order this same vent as tip tot tip,

order 25 x 25 and choose tip to tip.

Always allow for expansion and contraction

if ordering tip to tip.

The corners of an octagonal attic vent are mitered

to a straight 22.5 degree angle.

Behind the face trim is a 1/2" rail system

that the louvers lock onto for extra slat stability.

At a 2 inch depth, it will slide into the brick opening

with enough grip to stand on it's own.

These smaller lightweight vents

may only need sealed into place.

With the threat of bees and birds,

aluminum screen was applied for the insects

and 1/2" hardware cloth to lock out the fowls.
