The face flange will sit flush to the wall exterior.

Since most wall sheeting is about an inch,

no studs need cutting.

So, the framing of the attic (rafters)

will stay fully intact.

By applying aluminum bug screen to the rear,

insects such as wasps, grasshoppers, bees and mosquitos

cannot enter the attic through the louver area.
